Monsterpussy (Mnstrpsy) is: Free-form art, creation, in- novation, intention and style. Most know me as Heather Brosché a post-wave feminist artist-designer. A San Diego native; I was born and raised in Chula Vista, California.
For information, questions or booking contact me directly at email@example.com
I have been a seamstress for over ten years, which is my creative base. My first series, at the age of 22, was created mostly in oils. Since then I have moved to working in different mediums including: paper, textiles, analog light projection, video, wood, and metal.
Succeeding this, I created a then new night life series, Makeout Weird (MW)- created in the summer of 2010 at Kadan Club in Normal Heights, San Diego. Within 6 months I began to collaborate efforts booking the night with Bobby Bray (The Locust, Holy Molar, Innerds), we then moved MW to Whistle Stop in South Park.
MW concept: keeping the krunk in punk with cross subcultural visual art, live music, dance, local artists, bands, djs, inventors, professors, and experimentalists. Modern day Fluxus, Post Dada, Post Hardcore, Queer-Hard, Avant-Hard, Nu-Disco, and Dance-Punk. A forum for presentation of the new, an environment open to everybody without a cover charge.
I have been involved in curating a variety of other events which also include music, art, and dance.

We are super excited Maniqui Lazer will be playing!! After an extended hiatus, this trio of weirdos,
originally from Mexicali, is just beginning to freak people out in person again. Their mix of experimental electronic dance-punk has already made a mark on the face of subculture and they are back in full force! Members include Valentin Torres of Vampire Slayer and Jung Sing, the wildly drummer of the now disbanded All Leather. Jung and Manaqui Lazer bassist Rodo also play in a band called Black Cells.
We are also very pleased Machino will be part of the night! – A previous member of the post hardcore band Mae Machino and the DJ duo Loud Noises. His electronica offerings have hit Beatport’s charts more than once. We are looking forward to his experiments!
The three amigos of Moonshake will be manning the DJ booth into the night! These are the cats that ran the long running Moonshake parties at Kadan, before the bar closed down. Lee Reynolds, Mark E. Quark, and Dazzla are masters of dance party shenanigans!! Prepare for “an adventure into future disco, spacey house, and techey grooves!” –Bobby Bray SD Reader

Thursday December 20th !!! Makeout Weird
∆ Lee Reynolds ∆ Raul Garcia ∆ Micha Cárdenas ∆ Zach Blas
“This month, on the eve of the end of the Mayan calendar, we are honored to have Micha Cárdenas and Zach Blas be part of the night!! Micha is a world renowned theorist/author/lecturer/performance artist who all but deconstructs the fabric of time-space. Author of The Transreal: Political Aesthetics of Crossing Realities, Micha more then pushes the boundaries of reality, technology, and gender identity. Zach Blas is an artist-theorist working at the intersections of networked media, queerness, and social practice. Among other places, Zach has taught at UC Berkley and Duke University. Zach’s work bends preconceived notions of what discourse/action can be.
Later in the night Lee Reynolds, Raul Garcia, and Mnstrpsy will provide the soundtrack to human body vibrations and gyrations! Since Moonshake no longer occurs at Kadan (RIP) we are glad to have Moonshake-master Lee Reynolds at the Whistle Stop for a night!!
Come to dance, come to drink, come to have an experimental evening with new friends, come witness/experience experimental ingredients unfold at the Whistle Stop.” –Bobby Bray
“w0rkf0rce is a mysterious band, which does not play very often. Organized by Matt Lorenz, the group has an unknown number of band members which can include row beaht, #FFFFFF, spy-cu, filus-b, snoutmaster, cinco gasserz, kingu kongu, agente naranja, and beer hunter. Wearing invented uniforms known as snouts, the band seems to culture jam the idea of a band performing a show, somehow toying with the idea that work (or a lack there of) in a capitalistic society distracts us from true human potential, or revolutions? They sound something along the lines of Men’s Recovery Project and their origins date back to an earlier wave of weird in San Diego. There really is nothing like them and we are extremely pleased to have them grace the Whistle Stop! They will be doing more than one set during the course of the evening, we think. Check out their videos on their website!
From the DJ booth, strange sounds, dance sounds, and unknown smells will emanate.
The walls of the Whistle Stop will display works by Stephanie Lie, who recently set up the There Goes the Neighborhood extravaganza with collaborators. Also work by Mexican multimedia artist Pablo Stanley will be up.” –Bobby Bray
