Monthly Archives: November 2010

This is a video loop I made for Ogd_S(11) Translation Has Failed who performed at Makeout Weird last week, since I didn’t record any video this time I just picked a song to share the video… Ogd_S(11) Translation Has Failed were an awesome show to catch, Nathan Hubbard kept his focus on bending sound scapes while two different female vocalists took turns tellin’ it like it is.

If you missed Batwings you’re in luck, they’re playing The Tin Can Alehouse on December 6th with Stickers (Seattle, WA), K-Holes (Brooklyn, NY) and Syndicate (SD). DJ Tonic originally from Chicago brought the dub-step to a full frontal, it was a pleasure to share the booth. She also plays monthly at Milt Marquee which happens every fourth Friday at Saigon on 5th in Hillcrest. A special thanks to the Missi Sampson for taking photos. Go check out some of her work if you’re in the San Diego area, she’s showing at Lestat’s Coffee House off 36th and Adams Ave. Here are may favorie picks from the night…

Makeout Weird happens every third Thursday at The Whistle Stop Bar in South Park, San Diego.

whiskey & soda.

This is a window installation that I created with Miss Lad y D (Diana Reyes) at Chandelier Boutique in Tijuana. This boutique has a twist, Diana provides her expertise as a stylist! The salon is simply called “HAIR” and is located in the downtown area on 11th St near Pio Pico (calle Once #8850, Zona Centro). The idea for the display is simple, two collages, each create a perfect circle. The collages are suspended, we incorporated store items as well as “Psychic Tv” (one of my pieces), a small white night table, and two green plants. The display will be up until December, if you’re in Tijuana go take a look!

it’s like candy darling…

Makeout Weird is happening! Thursday November 18th at The Whistle Stop Bar.

Oddities of sound, space, surround dance, multi-media and other shit…

San Diego punks are getting it started.
Batwings is playing as well as noise duo Ogd_S(11) Translation Has Failed

Along side the jams Toni Colon aka DJ Tonic (Milt Marquee) will be holding
it down with some dance music. I will be doing an experimental set and
projecting some visual art.

Here’s some older pictures of Batwings playing at The Treehouse.
